The Anooki have gone 3D. Now giant characters, they’ve made Place Bellecour their new playground. The monumental installation turns the square into a child’s bedroom. At Anooki scale, the statue of Louis XIV is no more than a little tin soldier, and a real fire engine looks like a toy in the giant’s hands. Scattered marbles light up across the square in time with the Ferris wheel, now a night light, onto which the Inuit’s dreams are projected every 15 minutes. Their appearances are often a chance to touch on big global causes with a sense of humour – but above all to party, singing and dancing to their catchy new hit.
